New Source material for 1809

Following on from John Gill's excellent series of books based on 1809, I recently picked up a copy of one of his older books; 'With Eagles to Glory', which describes in some detail the part played by minor and even not so minor German allies during this period. The volume consists of over 50 maps of central Europe and a similar number of tables which outline the numerous forces.

The volume is packed with information which will undoubtedly inspire large and small scenarios with troops that are not fully mainstream and will add yet more colour to the period. Several uniform details are described along with force compositions and dispositions, including the numerous staging posts prior to battle, (which would again provide alternative scenarios for ad-hoc battles), in addition to unit backgrounds to 'ease' the establishment of morale class allocation.
