On planning this year's Waterloo game and not even started my Prussian division as planned, then what part of the action could I game?
That was the dilemma, having played Quatre Bras, Hougoumont and La Haye Sant, what would be different?
Well, the British squares have had their turn, so why not the French old guard who fought later in the day. Looking back at the British square formation, and in fact any squares made up of four bases, they look a little "thin". See what I mean....
Now compare that to the new improved version where the corners are filled to make it more square like and the command can fit in the centre of the square should they wish, (yes, they could do that in the above, but feel more secure in the new squares, cowering commanders that they are).
The smaller pairs of figures can also be used as piquet's, skirmishers or garrison troops.
