Rural Hamlet

 Following a lengthy time finishing off my Saxon division, I needed a break from painting figures. As with all wargamers, terrain is the next big demand to play games. 

A few years back I completed my Russian village, which contained a few fields, but now I decided to expand on these and increased the size and shape of each field to suit a number of orientations.

The expansion, coupled with a change in buildings could be suitable for any period of my collection from the Dark Ages up to ECW eventually to WWII. Mostly though it will be my Napoleonic's that will see the most use.

The field sizes are 80x80 mm, 60x60 mm and 60x40 mm to fit in with the base sizes of various buildings in my collection.

The wheat field is cut from a mat obtained from 'Timecast' a few years back.

 Furthermore, the bases supplied by Pendraken. The flock is a custom mixture and the tufts by WWS scenics.
